‘Free to choose’ by Milton Friedman is about the liberalism economic agenda. The essay debates about the freedom which is the fundamental in our life. Freedom is a very energetic terms. People demonstrated for freedom, protest for freedom and doing everything because of the terms ‘freedom’. However, the freedom should be hold by the law (constitution).

In the perspective of democracy, when we are talking about the freedom and the political party, the citizen of the nation free to choose any political party as stated in the Article 11 of the Federal Constitution. Today, the politic in our country was unstable towards what going on the Perak crisis. What we are going to discuss today is all about the mandate from the people.

Mandate is a subjective terms which we couldn’t measure. However, the mandate from the people was very important to be grabs by the political party, in order to be elected as the government. Without the mandate from the people, the government and the political situation would be unstable. In the case of Perak, the crisis it is about the mandate and the constitutional crisis. In my personal opinion, the crisis occurs when the mandate of the people was denied and be challenge by the authority. Therefore, the people used their freedom to protest the decision made by their ruler.
